ITEM: Flora Flower Centre and Bowl (Ref. 036) MAKER: Sowerby Ellison Glassworks Ltd, England c.1934. DESCRIPTION: This is, I believe, the rarest of the Sowerby lady flower frogs, referred to as 'Flora'. The lady is holding a garland of flowers above her head, there are 8 holes for a floral arrangement. She stands over 7 inches high, with a 3.25" diameter base. Presented in her matching float bowl, which is decorated in relief with a matching theme of roses, it measures 2.75" high and 10" across the rim. Please supersize all the pictures as they form part of the description. CONDITION: Good for age. Some minor fretting around some of the flower holes which is common in these pieces, otherwise good.
