ITEM:  Art Deco Glass Mermaid Fruit Bowl (Ref. 031)

MAKER: August Walther & Söhne, Germany. 1930s

DESCRIPTION:  This is a fabulous 'Nymphen' two piece fruit bowl finished in rose pink frosted glass.  It stands 6.5" high assembled, the base rim is approx 4.5" wide. The base depicts three mermaids in relief. There are a couple of different versions of the bowl, this one has panels of frosted and polished glass which compliments the set beautifully.

CONDITION:  Good. There are some nibbles around both the upper rim of the base and the peg at the base of the bowl which slots into the base to hold it in place, so hidden when displayed.  Air bubbles present.

These examples are becoming very hard to find!
